University of Michigan’s Rich Football History

Aric Keck

Aric Keck earned a BSEE from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. Employed as a regional manager for Vectra Networks, Aric Keck is a fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines football team.

One of the most storied programs in college football history, the Wolverines have no fewer than 11 claimed national championship titles and an additional five unclaimed national titles (mathematical title or indicated by certain sources not recognized by the university). The team can also boast a history of 42 Big Ten Conference titles and 81 consensus All-Americans.

Three Wolverines have been awarded the Heisman Trophy, which goes to the outstanding college football player of the year. Charles Woodson was the most recent player to win the award in 1997, while Desmond Howard received the Heisman in 1991. Tom Harmon received the trophy in 1940 before becoming an air force pilot in World War II and earning a Silver Star and Purple Heart.
