Some greens are delicious when prepared on the grill, especially kale. Grilling adds a special smokiness and char to the flavorful vegetable. Romaine lettuce is also great on the grill. Simply cut the head in half, brush with olive oil, and get a light char before topping it with vinaigrette for a unique salad base.

To impress guests, chefs can use the grill to make lemonade. Cut lemons in half, coat them in sugar, and let them caramelize on the grill for about 10 minutes before juicing and adding simple syrup. Fresh rosemary complements the grilled flavor perfectly.

When it comes time for dessert, a number of fruits can go on the grill, including peaches and bananas. Grill them lightly to avoid making them too mushy. Grilled correctly, they make a perfect topping for vanilla ice cream.
